Garri Smith Nominated for Defensive Player of the Year
On December 6 the Touch Down Club of Houston sponsored a dinner at J.W Marriott to acknowledge student athletes. Garri Smith represented The Village School and was nominated as a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year. He plays Defensive Tackle and had a total of 23 solo tackles, 9 assisted tackles and the highest amount of sacks of this season. Excerpts of the dinner were included on ABC13 Houston News. Garri Smith was awarded Lineman of the Year and Ironman of the Year for The Village School.
