Thursday, March 7, before Spring Break, the track and field team competed at the Cypress Christian Warrior Relays. After a long night of competition, many of our athletes received recognition for their outstanding performance in the many events.

The Men’s 4x400m relay team; Tristan Abueg, Koronjie Gilbert, Francesco Castelli, and Khalil Hager, fell a little short of the Village’s 2018 Men’s 4x400m school record, yet still managed to take the gold at the meet.

The awards given at this meet were:

4x400m Relay Team – 1st- Tristan Abueg, Koronjie Gilbert, Francesco Castelli, Khalil Hager

Khalil Hager – 1st in the 200m, 3rd in the 100m

Koronjie Gilbert – 1st in the 300m hurdles

Adrien Shipou – 2nd in the Discus

Sage Handin – 2nd in the 100m, 3rd in the 200m, 3rd in the High Jump, 3rd in the Long Jump

Sophie L. – 4th in the 100m

Sophie Lean – 4th in the 200m

Antonia Kruger – 4th in the 400m

Nina M. – 4th in the 800m

Isabella D. – 5th in the 800m

Harleen Bhatia – 5th in the 1600m

Francesco Castelli – 5th in the 400m

Matias Cattani – 5th in the 1600m

After this stellar meet for the track and field team, these athletes hope to perform well in the upcoming meet on Saturday, March 23, at Fort Bend Christian. Good luck Vikings!
