Village School Model United Nations Team Win Big at the 44th HAMUN Conference
The Village School Model United Nations (MUN) Team attended the 44th Annual Houston Area Model United Nations Conference (HAMUN) from Thursday, 24th January 2019 to Friday, 25th January 2019. The team participated in various committees, including the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Human Rights Council (OHCHR), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), along with many others. Despite not having more than half the team present at this conference, the MUN team was able to do exceptionally well, once again.
“I’m extremely proud of our team,” senior Sameer Hussain said, one of the Under-Secretary Generals of the Model UN team at Village. “This was the final conference of my high school MUN career, and I am so impressed with how much everyone on this team has accomplished.I’m especially impressed with their performance at our most recent conference at HAMUN. They’ve worked tremendously hard and have grown so much. I’m really going to miss each and every one of them.”
