Buzzer Beater: Boling Calls Game!
On January 27th, 2020, senior Trace Boling called game. The Village Vikings basketball team
trailed St. Thomas, 61 to 63 with 10.0 seconds left. Trace gets the ball mid-court and hits the
defender with a cross-over. He gets open and pulls up for three. Game, Game, Game! The
Vikings get it done defensively and the win is sealed, 64 to 63, The Vikings take the win.

“It was crazy,” said Boling, basketball player on the Varsity Vikings Team. “I got the ball and
had to make some space. I stepped back and hit the three. I was confident that it would go in.”
“It was great,” said Coach Andrew Johnson of the Viking basketball team. “Trace is one of the
hardest-working players on the team who has changed the culture so much. It just shows how
hard work pays off and he fully deserved it.”
