Parking Lot Renovations

After various complaints from students and staff, the school has closed the gravel parking lot nearest to the Village Athletic Center for remodeling. With damage from rain and constant entering of cars into the gravel lot, the entrance path has become bumpy and uneven, making it difficult for cars to park. In order to avoid future problems and more inconveniences, the school has decided to pave the entrance to the parking lot. It is expected to be finished and ready for use by next week, February 18th.

“This improvement project will benefit staff and students”, David Randolph said. “The parking lot was holding a lot of water for long periods of time after major rainfall.  This was negatively impacting anyone that was parking in the lot. At the entrance of the parking lot, we had a small mud pond that drivers had to go through to get into the parking lot. We are adding a drain and paving a small portion of the entrance to prevent future ponding and deep ruts.  The project should be completed early next week, but we will have to wait a few more days for the concrete to cure properly. Additionally, we will be adding more lighting in the near future.”
