The announcement of the homecoming court was one of the many things that occurred during halftime. After votes were tallied, seniors Maria Filipe and Anthony Thomas Rodas-Camacho were crowned as homecoming king and queen as they took a victory lap around the field in a decorated golf cart with Head of School, Bill Delbrugge. Cheers and smiles spread across the filled, the joy and high spirit was evident. “I didn’t think at all that I was going to win,” senior Maria Filipe said “But because it is my senior year, I think that it feels a lot like the American dream.”
