Saturday, December 8th, the Village Repertory Theatre performed their rendition of the Heathers musical. “Heathers,” tells the story of three high school girls, all named Heather, who run an ironclad social clique at a high school. After a new kid, Jason Dean, arrives at school, popular students suddenly start showing up dead with suicide notes.

Directed by Erich Polley, the cast of “Heathers” has been practicing the entire first semester, every Monday and Tuesday after school. The leads are sophomore Vivian Tsao, juniors Gabriel Chona, Maye Harris, Meridian Harrap, Shaurya Mathur, Calvin Kirkpatrick, and Caitlin Walsh, and seniors Jessica Tran and Megan Lean.

The play was originally scheduled to take place Friday, December 7th, at 7:00 pm, however, due to the expectations of strong rain and a possible storm, it was postponed until Saturday at 7:00 pm. According to the newsletter that was sent out, this was done to “avoid exposing students, families, faculty and staff members to any unnecessary risk.”
