New Year, New Students!
On Tuesday, January 7, 2020, The Village School began its second semester of the 2019-2020 school year. Welcoming a new decade, the school also welcomed an influx of new students from across the globe to its international campus.
Approximately 23 students have arrived this semester, and the prestigious club Blue Key took responsibility to help them feel welcome and familiar with our campus utilities and classrooms. New students were paired with Blue Key ambassadors for their first school day to locate facilities, understand the schedule, and conveniently socialize with other students.
“It’s definitely spacious,” freshman Diane Biju, a new student from Mumbai, India, said. “I’ve never gotten used to a space like this. It was overwhelming but everyone was really nice. The shadow system is very effective. If it wasn’t existent, I would be really lost and wouldn’t be able to make new friends.”
Especially at this time of the year, all Vikings are encouraged to take initiative, meet new students, and always be ready to help!
