Clubs play a vital role in helping students develop into well-rounded individuals. They allow for a balance between academics and personal interests, giving students the chance to pursue passions and explore new opportunities.
Here at The Village School, we just held our annual club fair on September 5, 2025, where the entire student body showcased their clubs to fellow students. The event is a longstanding tradition in the community, with an entire hour dedicated to ensuring students can succeed academically while also engaging in activities they enjoy.
Club founders create their clubs to find like-minded people. It’s often the case that the people you meet in a club become close friends, sharing similar passions that can lead to lasting connections. This is another reason clubs are vital to students’ social development at The Village School.

“I wanted to lead and spread awareness to the younger generation with people who share the same interests as me,” said sophomore Ishanvi Venkatesh, the founder of the EmpowerHer Foundation, an extension of her non-profit organization.
This year, we have over 110 clubs, an impressive number, especially considering that 42 of them are brand new. “I think that the number of clubs is a positive thing because it allows people to find something that interests them,” said sophomore Ishaan Trehan, a founder of the Business Mentor Club. “It’s really good because it gives more opportunities and a chance for people to find things they are passionate about.”
