This year, many students traveled during winter break. With obvious COVID-19 restrictions, one would think that vacations would not be the same. However, some student experiences do not seem to be as different as their days traveling before the pandemic.

“It’s as packed as usual, unfortunately,” said freshmen Atiana Henderson, a student who traveled with her family over winter break. “You’d think people wouldn’t be traveling as much. All we had to do was wear a mask.  We didn’t need to get our temperatures checked or anything, which surprised me since the cases have been rising.” Thus, it appears traveling is not as stressful or as much of a struggle as expected to be, which makes life easier for travelers but is also unfortunate news amidst a pandemic.
