Jazz Band Plays at Rice University
On Friday, February 21, 2020, The Village School Jazz Band opened at Rice University’s Jazz Band concert. The whole experience was new and different for many of the members that thoroughly enjoyed opening for the band.
“It was a new experience to play outside of the school,” said freshman Daniel Hidrowoh, a jazz band member and participant in the event. “And it was fun to play with the band because we practiced for long [hours], worked hard, and we played the songs the way we wanted to.”
Through innumerable rehearsals and impressive dedication, the Jazz Band earned the honor to play at Rice University. Vikings congratulate the band for their diligence and wish them luck with the rest of their concerts this year!
