The Girl’s Volleyball team gathered for a photo on the field at Senior Night.

Senior Night, an evening dedicated to celebrating seniors’ dedication to their sports at their last home game, has been a tradition since The Village School’s Varsity Program was founded. This year the Girl’s Soccer, Girl’s basketball, and Boy’s basketball teams had their Senior Nights on the same evening. The Girl’s Senior Soccer night was held at 4:45 pm on our home field against Incarnate Word where team captains Sage Handin, Emma Graham, Antonia Krueger, and Helena Griffith made a stellar play on the night’s game. Although we did not get the win, the team still enjoyed playing one last time at our home and celebrating with family and friends.

“It’s not about liking the sport, it’s more about creating a bond with the team and having fun while you play,” said Emma Graham, captain of the Girl’s Varsity Soccer team.

Across the street, the basketball Senior Nights were in full play. With an impeccable win from the astounding Girl’s Basketball team, the school VAC was filled with cheers while both girls’ and boy’s teams were recognized for their accomplishments this season. Overall, Senior Night was a hit and we as a school continue to enjoy this special night, which thanks seniors for their past devotion and encourages their future progress.
