On Thursday, August 19, 2021, The Village School hosted its first-ever Senior Sunrise on the football field at 6:15 am. The class of 2022 had the opportunity to experience a celestial sunrise alongside close friends. In addition to complimentary breakfast, the sunrise event embraced a rainbow-colored dress code. Each senior advisory was assigned a color of the rainbow to wear with uniform bottoms or jeans.

“I really enjoyed going to, as well as planning the senior sunrise,” said senior and student body president Esha Garg. “It was the first event that we have had in a while, and it was really nice to talk to other students in my grade and spend time with my friends.”

For a senior class that spent half their high school years in virtual or hybrid learning, the sunrise was a wholesome opportunity to finally feel connected as a class after so long and make the most of precious, fleeting time with friends before graduation.
