Starboy (2016) – First of all the composure of this song was phenomenal and so unique. The song’s meaning makes a negative into a positive. For example, the weekend writes this song about negative things such as drugs, recklessness, and sadness turned into a feeling of love. The impact this song has is that the flow of the music gives off good vibes to people and makes everyone want to get up and sing along.

Pray For Me (2018) – A collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, “Pray For Me” is a song about feeling alone and having no one on your life at the moment. The lyrics “Who gon pray for me, take my pain for me, save my soul for me, cuz i’m alone you see” represent feeling like no one has your back. Another reason why this song is phenomenal is also because of the tune of the song. It is very catchy and leaves an impression. 

Save Your Tears (2020) – This song was a collaboration with Ariana Grande and broke the charts when it started to trend on TikTok. Not only has this song been trending on tiktok and every other social media platform, but the way this entire song comes together is breathtaking. It is a beautiful song with amazing lyrics, advising to save your tears for something more important. The message along with the different melodies in the back truly makes this song a piece of art. 

Is There Someone Else (2022) is also labeled as one of The Weekend’s hit songs on his newest and latest album. This song talks about how he feels not good enough but he still loves the girl in this song by saying “Is there someone else I’m not? Cuz I wanna keep you close”. As every other song, The Weekend composed a “in your feels” type of song and the tune of the song has a lot of different tunes coming together. Like many of The Weekend’s songs, this song truly makes anyone who listens to this get addicted to “Is there Someone Else?”.
