There is Life After Village…

On January 6, 2022, The Village School held its annual Student Alumni Panel for current graduating seniors. Past Village graduates spent time on Zoom with current Village seniors to answer questions and ease the stress of senior year with their advice and knowledge. These panels are a great opportunity for prospective students and current students to hear valuable information about their learning environment and education. The various stories and pieces of advice given to the Class of 2022 were greatly appreciated and helpful for the graduating class. The panel was run over Zoom, during advisory. Students used this time to ask many different questions, from how to manage senior year or IB tips and tricks, to more specific questions about credits and college life.

“It was super reassuring to talk to people who know what we’re currently dealing with,” said senior Helena Griffith, “being able to talk about college in a more casual manner made me less worried about what’s to come”.

Connecting with former Village students and allowing people to share their reflections and experiences since graduation opens up communication and comfort within the college admissions process.  As The Village School continues to nurture and educate their seniors, events like this are effectively preparing students for the future, and are providing the groundwork for success.
