Jada Malone AT&T Award

On Wednesday, January 8, 2020, junior Jada Malone of The Village School basketball team was awarded the AT&T SportsNet’s High School Athlete of the Week Award for her outstanding achievements.
When asked about the drive behind Malone’s success, Doug Brotherton, the Village School Varsity basketball coach said, “Jada’s success is a byproduct of a lot of hard work, her competitive spirit, and a willingness to accept coaching.”
One of Malone’s notable achievements this season was surpassing 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds in only 2.5 high school seasons – The school’s record holder for career points and rebounds. In addition, on January 15, 2020, Malone’s ESPN interview made an appearance during the Houston Rockets vs. Blazers game. Congratulations Jada!
